Situated just to the southwest of Aberdaron - there are fantastic views of Ynys Enlli (Bardsey Island) from Mynydd Mawr, with parking facilities and a small tea room. A coastguard station is situtated on the peak - and when you get there you will know why - as it overlooks the infamous Bardesy Sound, with its very strong tidal flow. The waters in the sound are treacherous, especially when the tide is racing.

It is well worth a trip to see this unusual village in a beautiful and spectacular setting near Llithfaen, excellent cafe and very interesting museum. Parking at the top of the hill for the energetic ( beware of the hill coming back up!) or there is a car park at the bottom.
The cafe will also supply a map of a circular walk which will take about 3-4 hrs around the headland with some fantastic views over the sea. More info at www.nantgwrtheyrn.org
